Our Mission

Advocacy. Guidance. Peace of Mind.

At Advocates for Senior Living, we believe seniors deserve to feel safe, heard, supported, and truly at home in their senior living community.

We provide compassionate, personalized advocacy for seniors living in assisted living and other senior living communities. We don’t just check in—we get to know the senior, understand what matters to them, and help make their senior living experience the best it can be.

When a senior is unhappy, struggling to adjust, or feeling disconnected, we look for ways to help. Sometimes that means helping them meet other residents, encouraging them to participate in activities, or simply spending time with them so they feel less alone. Our goal is to help their new community feel like home.

Ongoing Senior Advocacy & Check-Ins

Our regular visits provide families with an extra set of eyes and ears when they can’t always be there themselves.

During each visit, we:

  • Spend meaningful time with the senior and learn how they are doing

  • Help them get connected with other residents and their community

  • Attend activities with them and encourage engagement

  • Observe their overall well-being and living environment

  • Listen for concerns or changes that may need attention

  • Communicate with appropriate community staff when questions or concerns arise

  • Provide the family with a written summary after each visit

Our visit summaries keep families informed about how their loved one is doing and provide a consistent record of observations over time.

For families who live out of the area or travel frequently, knowing that someone they trust is regularly checking in can provide tremendous peace of mind.

Senior Living Placement & Move Management Services

Moving into senior living can feel overwhelming—not because it isn’t the right next step, but because the process of getting there can feel like too much to take on. Finding the right community to call home. Sorting through a lifetime of belongings and treasured memories, making decisions, coordinating logistics… it’s a lot for anyone.

At Advocates for Senior Living, we provide senior living placement services along with move assistance support to ease that burden. We know what seniors need most in senior living, and we can help maximize the space in the new home. We help pack the items that matter most, while packing items that can go into storage (or donation). We approach every move with care, patience, and deep respect for the items that matter most. We help seniors and their families organize, downsize, plan, and coordinate every detail so nothing feels rushed or chaotic. Our goal is to bring calm, clarity, and structure to what can otherwise feel like an emotional and stressful experience. We make the move easier.

We also understand that many seniors delay getting the care they need simply because the idea of moving feels overwhelming. We’re here to change that. By walking alongside you every step of the way, we make the transition more manageable—so you or your loved one can move forward with confidence and peace of mind, knowing that cherished belongings are being handled with the care and respect they deserve. We can start planning for the move months in advance so it feels more gradual.

This isn’t just about moving—it’s about honoring a lifetime of memories while creating a smoother path into the next chapter of life, with the support, dignity, and care every senior deserves.

Types of Senior Living

We proudly assist families in navigating Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities—helping you find the option that best aligns with your care needs, social needs, and budget.

We are not “placement specialists.” We are advocates. Our role is to empower YOU with clear information, honest guidance, and personalized support so you can make decisions that are truly in your best interest.

We also offer educational classes and planning support to help seniors and families prepare well before a move is needed. These classes focus on organizing belongings, downsizing with intention, and reducing the emotional and logistical stress that often comes with a last-minute transition.

Planning in advance (before a medical crisis hits) allows families to explore options thoughtfully, make informed decisions, and avoid being forced into choices during a health crisis or emergency. When planning happens ahead of time, seniors are able to remain involved in decisions, transitions are smoother, and families experience less stress, guilt, and urgency.

You don’t have to navigate this journey alone. We’re here to help you plan ahead, stay informed, and move forward with confidence—on your timeline, not in a moment of crisis.
